Omnicide (Musical Group)
Omnicide is a Death Metal band from Hobart, Tasmania. They have headlined local shows, and have opened for bands such as Boris The Blade, As Paradise Falls and Psycroptic. The members of the band consist of Nick Bolonja (Percussion), Alex Williams (Guitar, Vocals), Brok Carter-Roach (Guitar), Simeon Howe (Bass) and Isaac Jeanneret (Vocals). Omnicide has had many problems with members disagreeing and leaving. In 2014, the band consisted of Andrew Donaghy, Thomas Fall, Alex Williams and Nick Bolonja. Andrew left the band without warning, and Samuel Wellings joined as the new vocalist. Andrew later told the band that he left due to harassment from bass player, Thomas Fall. Thomas was immediately kicked from the band, much to Samuel's disgust. Samuel was very bitter and depressive, and though he was an excellent lyricist, he constantly put down members of the band, neglected to arrive at band practice, and harassed everyone. Simeon Howe replaced Thomas on bass, and Samuel was kicked from the band. Shortly before this, Brok Carter-Roach joined the band as a second guitarist. The band went on hiatus, and begun the search for a new vocalist. In December 2014, a knob called Isaac Jeanneret auditioned for vocals, and Omnicide was so (stupidly) impressed with his vocals, they (stupidly) allowed him to join them and immediately begin practicing songs. That dickhead wasn't announced as the vocalist until March the next year.
With the current line-up, the band has played alongside Hadal Maw, Jack The Stripper, Depths, As Paradise Falls, Alpha Wolf and Zeolite. The band has many more shows lined up for this year already, and is playing alongside a large deathcore band in August, but it is yet to be announced. The band also hopes to release a single and Omnicide merchandise by the end of the year, and possibly a debut album. It won't be surprising if the knob gets kicked out because he's terrible.
